Can anything be done to make pharmacy more affordable in America?
There’s no one answer to this question as the cost of prescription drugs varies immensely from state to state and even from city to city. However, there are a few things that can be done to make pharmacy more affordable for residents of America:
1. Reduce the regulatory hurdles – One of the major reasons pharmacy prices are so high is because it’s difficult for pharmacists to get drugs in bulk. This is because pharmacies are required to follow strict regulations set by the FDA, which can be quite cumbersome and time-consuming.
2. Increase competition – Another way to reduce the cost of prescription drugs is by increasing competition. This means that there are more pharmacies available that are able to provide lower prices on medications. It’s also important to keep in mind that not all pharmacies offer the same levels of service, so it’s important to research which ones are best suited for your needs.
3. Reform the healthcare system – Healthcare in America is expensive and often doesn’t meet the needs of patients. This is because the healthcare system is geared towards profit rather than patient welfare. There are many proposals on how to reform healthcare in America, but nothing has been implemented yet. Until then, pharmacy prices will continue to be high – it’s up to us as consumers to try and make change happen!
